Why did you want to lose weight?
In January of last year, my long-term (now ex) boyfriend cheated on me and I no longer felt comfortable in my own skin. I wanted to change that!
"Not only was the app helpful for logging my food and progress, the recipe ideas were also really great and they got me excited about cooking!"
As I was looking for a weight-loss program online, I came across YAZIO. I immediately bought the PRO version because I really wanted to see it through. With the app, it was really easy for me to keep an overview of my diet. After just a short period of time, I had already lost the first pounds and I was really happy!
What goals did you want to reach?
I wanted to improve my self-confidence and feel good about myself again.
How did you reach your goals?
I counted calories with the app and didn't eat more than 1,500 calories per day. Through calorie counting, I could also enjoy pizza or chocolate every once in a while. I would simply have to avoid something else for the day so that it fit into my calorie goal. For this reason, I didn't have any problem with cravings.
In addition, I went jogging every other day and, when the weather was bad, did yoga at home. I didn't make a special nutrition or training plan and also didn't get any help from friends or family.
I was pretty relaxed with everything and simply counted calories with YAZIO and regularly went jogging.
How did YAZIO help you?
I used YAZIO every day from the start. Not only was the app helpful for logging my food and progress, the recipe ideas were also really great and they got me excited about cooking!
YAZIO helped me in the sense that I could really control what I was eating during the day. That helped me to finally quit "snacking" in between meals. I feel much more balanced and much happier now.
Did you have setbacks?
During times that I was lacking motivation, I reminded myself why I started and would go for a jog around the block. :)
My scale and my reflection gave me strength to keep going. Luckily, I didn't have any lows during my weight loss. I saw steady progress and that motivated me.
What tips do you have for other users?
Set clear goals and ask yourself the following questions: How many pounds do I want to lose in what period of time? Why do I want to lose weight?
Write from the heart and really internalize the answers. If you ever hit a low point, you can use this to help pull you through.
What are your future goals?
I would like to maintain my weight and work out more.
Why do you want to tell your story?
I want to show everyone that they, too, can do it, even if you make some mistakes. :) I also want to show that it can be done without a ton of exercise and effort!
