Why did you want to lose weight?
The main reasons I wanted to lose weight and change something were primarily my health problems and overall dissatisfaction.
"Just living is not enough, said the butterfly, one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."
What did you want to accomplish on your journey?
My goal weight is 145 pounds. Even more important, though, is that I feel comfortable again and in better shape than before my weight loss.
How did you reach your goals?
In the first step, I got to know the YAZIO app and its principles better. I really liked the idea that I wouldn't have to cut out any foods.
After I was able to lose the first 25 pounds by combining the standard YAZIO macronutrient distribution and exercise, I slowly changed the macro distribution to "high protein" to help with muscle building. At the same time, I slightly increased my calorie goal to get my body used to a higher calorie intake again.
Bille’s Tips
As I said before, exercise has become an important part of my life. I've been going to the gym three to four times a week for a while now and also go jogging on non-training days.
It also helped me to structure my day. This way, I can be sure that I'm eating and drinking enough. For example, I'm eating a protein and fiber-rich diet and that I'm eating enough fruits and, in particular, vegetables. Between meals, I also let myself snack from time to time when I feel like I need it.
How did YAZIO help you?
YAZIO showed me that eating healthily can be a lot of fun and that I don't have to cut out anything to lose weight. The fantastic recipes were especially helpful for me!
Did you have setbacks?
I didn't have any setbacks. I simply rediscovered old habits and routines for myself. These days, working out is a part of my life again. I can also thank the app for that. I don't know if I would have ever started up again, although I always worked out in the past.
What advice do you have for other users?
My advice for those who are in the same boat is to never give up, even when you feel like you're not making any progress. Just keep going! My favorite saying in times like these is: Sometimes the road is rocky, but that makes the end result even more beautiful, no matter how long it takes.
What are your future goals?
I would really like to get down to my goal weight of 145 pounds, but it doesn't really matter how long it takes to get there. I will increase my calorie goal slightly and just keep going the way I have been. I've found a diet that works best for me and my quality of life has improved significantly.
Why do you want to tell your story?
I'm definitely aware that the path to reaching your goal weight can be hard and frustrating. Every person is different and there are so many factors that play a role. Nevertheless, I believe anyone can dot it and that YAZIO is a great help.
