Why did you want to lose weight?
I wanted to lose weight because I've always been a bit curvy, obese even, since my teenage years. One day, when I was 30 with 3 children, I woke up wanting to change my life to become the woman I'd always dreamed of being!
"No pain, no gain"
I tried any diet I came across, even went to several dietitians. I tried Kriss Laure and Dukan methods, fasting and even starved myself at some point. As you can imagine, the results weren't great because although I'd lose weight, I would always gain twice as much back.
What did you want to accomplish on your journey?
My goal at first was to lose 44 lb! I wanted to be able to find clothes that would fit me more easily and feel pretty again! Of course, feeling good in my own skin was also important and I wanted to be fit again. Basically, I wanted everything I never knew!
How did you reach your goals?
To reach my goals, I downloaded the YAZIO app and got an annual membership. I used their recommendations without going on any specific diets (low carb, etc). I started working out three times a week. Just a little bit of walking or biking at first. From starting with 10 minutes, I got up to 20 and then 30 minute sessions. I bought a smartwatch to count my steps. I started at 3,000 and then went on to walk 5, 8 and 10,000 steps a day.
After 6 months, I started running. I found it quite hard, but I stuck with it and now I run 5 kilometers three times per week. I also allow myself 2 cheat days a week (minimum) because I love eating and it's also very important for me to be able to eat freely with my friends. All of this was quite simple to implement into my everyday life. You just have to be determined.
How did YAZIO help you?
YAZIO saved my life. Before, I used to think that my portions were okay and I couldn't understand why I was gaining. But, well, it was quite obvious. I'd eat a whole baguette per day. Pasta at every meal. Pastries, cheese, and with no restrictions.
YAZIO helped me gain some discipline. Today, I know exactly how many calories are in a piece of bread. I've learned to eat differently.
Did you have setbacks?
No setbacks if you stick to your program rigorously.
What advice do you have for other users?
My tip is to really follow what YAZIO says. I recommend the app on my Instagram and Facebook accounts everyday. It goes hand in hand with food, in my opinion. I use it everyday whenever I eat. And it works! And there's no secret- you have to get moving, even if just a little. You have to change your life as a whole to make it.
What are your future goals?
My goal in the future is to keep losing slowly, but surely. I also want to run a half-marathon, maybe even become a fitness coach. I also want to keep on posting my success story on social media because I know it has motivated a lot of people and I'm really proud of that!
Why do you want to tell your story?
I tell my story everyday because I want obese people to know that they can make it, just like I did!! Losing weight isn't just about numbers, it's about changing your life!
It's about becoming a better version of yourself and living a better, healthier life!
