Why did you want to lose weight?

My stomach had stretched quite significantly from my pregnancy and I was left with really loose skin.

A tummy tuck was and always would have been out of the question for me personally, so I started using YAZIO.

What did you want to accomplish on your journey?

I wanted to lose weight, feel better in my own body and, more than anything, get rid of my belly apron.

How did you reach your goals?

I started by counting calories with YAZIO and, over time, started delving more into the topic of nutrition.

Take before pictures regularly.
Don't weigh yourself every day.
Incorporate plenty of exercise into your daily routine.

I also started doing EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) training with a personal trainer. With a healthier diet and effective training, I was able to make progress quickly.

How did YAZIO help you?

YAZIO helped me to understand the topic of calories in general. I started getting a feel for which foods were healthy and which foods were better to eat sparingly.
By tracking my foods in the app, I knew how many calories each item actually contained. There were definitely a few surprises that I didn't expect.

Did you have setbacks?

Definitely! The daily food tracking, the daily weigh-ins and wanting to control everything—it all got to be too much for me and I had to take a short break.

What advice do you have for other users?

Stay strong, even if you hit a plateau or actually gain weight sometimes. Before and after pictures of each milestone you hit are always better ways to see your progress than weighing yourself daily.
It's also good to make sure you incorporate enough exercise into your daily routine. Don't see healthy nutrition as a punishment. Instead, see it as a way to do something good for your body.

What are your future goals?

I want to start building muscle and continue making positive changes, including ones for my body.

Why do you want to tell your story?

More than anything, I want to encourage others with my success story. Never give up hope, no matter how many attempts you've already started. Anyone who wants it can do it!
