Why did you want to gain weight?
I wanted to finally live a normal life again without having to give anything up. I already had 2 hospitalizations behind me and was able to reach my goal on my own with YAZIO by my side. I listened to my body and gained weight at MY OWN pace.

Unfortunately, I also had to go through a terrible experience. An older man publicly shamed me and loudly criticized my appearance. This really hurt me!
What did you want to accomplish on your journey?
I wanted a healthy and athletic body again, one that didn't cause me problems. And I wanted to have my period again. I wanted to actually have a figure and not just be terribly thin.
How did you reach your goals?
I'm very athletic and always invested a lot of time in exercise, but now I FINALLY do it in a conscious way. I decided to weight train and build muscle instead of ONLY doing cardio.
I started tracking with YAZIO and started trusting myself with new and different foods that used to be "forbidden". My diet is rich in protein and I also pay attention to nutritional supplements. I'm a big fan of them! I don't forbid anything anymore. Everything is allowed as long as it's in moderation. I also have set routines throughout my day now.
How did YAZIO help you?
With YAZIO, I finally dared to eat again. I've learned that I don't have to cut out food to be in tune with my body. I started eating regular meals and stopped forbidding foods. I've also been able to build a normal eating structure into my daily routine. Since I have a good overview of my calorie intake and consumption with YAZIO, I've been able to create new opportunities for myself. It was great to be able to cook and bake with friends again. YAZIO took away my fear of food and, with a great overview of nutrients, calories and macros, it has been able to help me more than a lot of my therapists in the clinic could.
Did you have setbacks?
No. Since I still integrate YAZIO into my daily routine and have a lot of fun with it, I haven't had—and hope I won't have—any setbacks.
What advice do you have for other users?
NEVER give up, always stay consistent and pursue your goal. YAZIO makes it easy to create new and simple daily routines. If you stick with these routines, gaining or losing weight happens almost on its own.
REMEMBER: Don't be afraid of food. Eating again won't make you gain a ton of weight IMMEDIATELY.

What are your future goals?
My goal is to maintain the body I have now. I'm completely satisfied with my body, with how it performs and with my reclaimed friendship with food.
Why do you want to tell your story?
I was stuck in my eating disorders for YEARS and know how it eats away at you. That's why it's so important for me to show others that it is possible to break the cycle.
I'm a good example of how you shouldn't be afraid to start eating again, that you won't just gain a ton of weight overnight. It's worth it to listen to your body! With YAZIO and the weight I've gained during this time, I'm healthier than I ever was, even before my eating disorder. Life is so much more wonderful when you can actively take part in it again and, with YAZIO's help, I can do that without any problems!
