What do you find most difficult about reaching your goal?

Giving up my favorite food

Why did you want to lose weight?

There was a decisive moment for me at the end of May: I couldn't stand to look at myself in the mirror anymore and knew I wanted to change something. My clothes didn't look good and my weight wasn't okay for me anymore.

I tried losing weight several times before, but it never worked. This time, I made a conscious decision to put an end to all of that and start making changes to finally lose the weight.

What did you want to accomplish on your journey?

After being so unhappy with my weight, I really wanted to get down to my goal of 155 pounds. I finally wanted to feel comfortable in my body and proud of myself.

How did you reach your goals?

I had never tried a diet before. At first, I talked with a lot of friends and watched Instagram videos that focused on calorie deficits and calorie counting. That's how I came across the YAZIO App. The good thing was the app guided me step by step, calculating my goal weight based on a specific calorie amount per day. It was really convenient since I knew how much I could eat to lose weight.

Don't give up, you can do it!
Always be focused on your goal and happy with what you're doing.
Don't restrict yourself. Instead, reward yourself from time to time.

Initially, I only focused on my calorie intake, so I reached my goal without any exercise. I didn't plan any cheat days for the first 4 weeks. Although, I did treat myself every once in a while, as long as it fit into my daily calorie goal.

How did YAZIO help you?

YAZIO also has great recipe ideas and these really helped me. With them, I was able to get a better understanding of what is good for the body and what should be enjoyed in moderation.

If I'm being honest, no! I was completely focused and my goal was the only thing on my mind.

What advice do you have for other users?

Always keep going, even if you have setbacks. Watch recipe videos. There are so many wonderful, delicious recipes that don't take much effort. As soon as you start seeing changes in your body, it gets even more fun!
Don't restrict foods and be sure to incorporate treats into your day sometimes when it fits into your calorie goal. Then everything will be alright!

What are your future goals?

Now, I will continue my journey with muscle building. I go to the gym 3 times a week to tone my body and build muscle. I feel much better now that I'm regularly exercising and can, of course, also eat a bit more because of it.

Why do you want to tell your story?

I want to share my story with other users because there are a lot of people out there who don't know how, when and, above all, what they should be eating. I want to support others, just like the YAZIO App supported me. You have to stay motivated and keep your eye on the prize. There is so much time in the day that can be used sensibly, especially when it comes to feeling comfortable in your own body!
